Biology Undergraduate Committee

The Biology undergraduate curriculum is the joint responsibility of the departments of Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) and Organismic and Evolutionary Biology (OEB).

Three curriculum programs are currently offered within the Biology Concentration:

  • Basic Biology
  • Honors Biology
  • Honors Neurobiology (within the interdisciplinary Mind, Brain and Behavior [MBB] initiative)

The Biology Committee on Undergraduate Studies and Students administers the programs. The Head Tutor in Biology chairs this committee. Other members of the committee include three members from MCB and three members from OEB chosen by the respective department chairs. Other appropriate faculty members within the University also serve on the Committee. Student representatives to the Committee are selected by application to the Undergraduate Office.
