Introduction
This guide addresses the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the biology concentration from faculty advisors and advisees. It serves as a refresher course on current policies for faculty already in the advising pool, as an introduction to new advisors, and as a reference guide for students. We will track these and future questions and we will update this guide to reflect changes in curricular programs and policies.

Professor David Haig is Head Tutor in Biology.
The Head Tutor’s role is to chair the Biology Committee on Undergraduate Studies and Students (see below) and to serve as arbiter
in interactions between students and faculty.

Barbara Cerva is the Coordinator of Biology Undergraduate Programs in the Biology Undergraduate Office. She is available on a daily basis to advise students on biology requirements, research opportunities, honors, thesis work, and anything related to the Biology concentration.
